The Philadelphia Rebels, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Ryan Vaites has committed to play NCAA Division III Ice Hockey for the Endicott College Gulls who play in the Conference of New England (CNE). His commitment begins in the fall of 2025.

Vaites played 108 games in his two seasons with the Rebels earning 42 total points (9 goals and 33 assists). This past season the Mullica Hill, NJ native posted 24 total points (6 goals and 18 assists) in 57 games played.

“I would like to thank my parents, my youth coaches, Coach Bunting, Coach Hale, Coach Biondo, and especially Coach Matty for their support in helping me achieve my goal of playing NCAA hockey” stated Vaites. “Coach Matty was a big influence in my decision to become a Rebel and in my development as a player and a person. He always believed in me and was willing to lend an ear or provide advice. To say that the world was truly a better place with him is an understatement” added Vaites.

“I am super excited for Ryan to take this next step in his hockey career” said Rebels Head Coach and General Manager Justin Hale. “He has shown great resiliency and determination to get to this point. All the while continuing to be a good teammate. I look forward to big things ahead for him” concluded Hale.

Endicott College is in Beverly, MA.
