The Philadelphia Rebels would like to announce their scouting staff for the 2025-26 Season.
Justin Friedman – Director of Scouting
Friedman enters his first full season with the Rebels as Director of Scouting after previously working with the Madison Capitols of the USHL. With over 20 years of experience as a scout and coach at the Junior and Tier I levels, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organization. Friedman also serves as the Director of Scouting for the Philadelphia Hockey Club.
Nick Annunziato – Eastern Scout
Nick currently works with the Long Island Gulls youth program. Nick is in his third season with the Rebels.
James Angelicola – Western Scout
James currently works with the Colorado Thunderbirds youth program. James is in his third season with the Rebels.
Tom Bunting – Eastern Scout
Tom is the youth director at Hollydell Ice Arena, as well as Head Coach for the 2010 and 18U Premier teams for the Philadelphia Hockey Club. Tom is in his fourth season with the Rebels.
Mike Peruzzi – Michigan/Upper Midwest Scout
Mike just wrapped up a storied coaching career, most recently with the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies youth program. Mike is in his second season with the Rebels.
Nathan Ward – Minnesota Scout
Nathan has experience scouting in both the NAHL and USHL. Nathan is in his second season with the Rebels.
Wes Durand – Minnesota Scout
Wes is a former coach at Southwest Christian High School and has been involved in the Minnesota HP Program. Wes is in his first season with the Rebels.
Brian Gratz – Indiana/Midwest Scout
Brian is the Indiana/Midwest Scout and Head Coach of the Indiana Elite U16 and U15 teams. He is a former ECHL coach. Brian is in his first season with the Rebels.
