SEWELL, N.J. — Philadelphia Rebels forward Billy Sheridan has committed to Neumann University, becoming the latest member of the organization to advance to the NCAA level.
A native of Sewell, New Jersey, Sheridan’s commitment marks a full-circle moment. He grew up playing in the Philadelphia Hockey Club youth program before spending the last three seasons with the Rebels, establishing himself as one of the most productive players in franchise history.
The 5-foot-11, right-shot forward appeared in 158 career games with Philadelphia, recording 30 goals and 70 assists for 100 points. He finished his Rebels career ranked third all-time in games played and goals, while ranking second all-time in assists and points.
Sheridan enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2024-25, posting career highs with 12 goals and 31 assists for 43 points in 59 games before adding 33 points in 46 games during the 2025-26 season. Throughout his junior career, he developed into a dependable two-way forward and a respected leader within the locker room.
“We’re proud of Billy for earning the opportunity to continue his career at Neumann,” Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale said. “Throughout his time in our program, he remained loyal to our team and committed to the people around him. He was a valued teammate who showed up, competed, and represented our program with class. We’re excited to see him take this next step and wish him nothing but success moving forward.”
Sheridan reflected on his three seasons with the organization and the opportunity to continue his career close to home.
“I’m grateful for the last three years playing for the Rebels and thankful for my family, coaches, teammates and everyone else involved,” Sheridan said. “I’m excited to get started at Neumann.”
Sheridan leaves Philadelphia as one of the most accomplished players in franchise history and will continue his academic and athletic career with the Knights.
