Stanley named NAHL’s East Division Star of the Week; Patrick is honorable mention

The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending April 1 and Rebels forward Brandon Stanley was named the East Division’s Star of the Week while fellow forward Ryan Patrick was named honorable mention.

Stanley had five points (2 goals and 3 assists) in three games this past weekend against the Northeast Generals. He scored in Friday night’s 6 – 2 win and had a goal in Saturday night’s game. For the month of March, Stanley had a total of seven points (4 goals and 3 assists).

The Sioux Lookout, ON is fifth on the team with thirty-one total points (18 goals and 13 assists). This is the fourth time this season that Stanley has received recognition from the league. The other three times he was named honorable mention for weeks ending October 15, December 3 and February 18.

Stanley was a participant in the Top Prospect Tournament in February.

Patrick had four points (2 goals and 2 assists) this past weekend. He scored in Thursday’s and Saturday nights’ games. Patrick had a total of nine points (3 goals and 6 assists) in March.

The Morgantown, WV native, who was just named the team’s 2017-18 Most Valuable Player, is tied for second in total points with 44 (23 goals and 21 assists).

This is the sixth time this season he has been recognized by the league: Second Star of the Week (February 25) and honorable mention: November 19, January 7 and February 4. He was honorable mention in January.

Patrick was a participant in the Top Prospect Tournament in February.
