Weekend Preview: 10/18 & 10/19 – Hat Tricks Travel to Hollydell for two-game series against Rebels

The Rebels will be hosting the Danbury Hat Tricks this Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 at 7:30PM at the Hollydell Ice Arena. It will be the first time this season that these teams will be facing each other.

Saturday night’s game will be the Herr’s/Dunlop’s Family Fun Pak night where a party of four can receive four tickets, four chuck-a-pucks, four bags of Herr’s Snacks and one, 16” pizza from Dunlop’s Bar & Grill for only $40.

Hat Tricks vs. Rebels Overview
Last season the Rebels won six of the eight games played between the teams, and they outscored the Hat Tricks by a combined margin of 32-25. Two of the Rebels wins came in overtime while another was in a shootout. The crushing 3 – 2 defeat to the Hat Tricks back on April 6 eliminated the Rebels bid to make the Robertson Cup playoffs last season. Danbury went 6 for 26 (23%) on the man advantage while the Rebels went 3 for 26 (12%). Of this year’s returners, Charles Panchisin led the Rebels in total points with twelve (6 goals and 6 assists) while Jared Coccimiglio and Panchisin each had six goals to lead the Rebels in scoring against the Rabbits. 

Hat Tricks Overview
Danbury is currently in seventh place in the East Division with a 4-7-1-0 record for nine points. They have won two games in a row and three out of their last five. They are coming off of two-game home sweep over the Northeast Generals.

The Hat Tricks have scored 37 goals (6th in the league), and they have allowed 46 (second to last in the league). They have converted on 14.29% of the chances on the man advantage (22nd in the league), and their penalty kill is at 74.47% (32th in the league).

Gates Omicioli leads the Hat Tricks (and league) with 18 total points (8 goals and 10 assists) and goals (eight). Niko Tournas has the most game winning goals with two. Omicioli has a team best +8 while Anthony White leads the Rabbits with 33 penalty minutes.

Danbury’s goaltenders have a combined 3.76 goals against average and .897 save percentage with no shutouts.

Rebels Overview
The Rebels are currently in eighth place in the East Division with a 4-6-1-0 record for nine points. They have lost four in a row and six of their last seven games. They are coming of being swept by the New Jersey Titans last weekend in a home-and-home series.  

Philadelphia has scored 34 goals (13th in the league), and they have allowed 44 (30th in the league). They have converted on 14.48% of the chances on the man advantage (18th in the league), and their penalty kill is at 75.0% (31st in the league).

Panchisin leads the team with eleven total points (2 goals and 9 assists) while Ryan Bunting, Brayton Frick and Ruslan Jamaldinov each have a team high four goals. Four different players (Jamaldinov, Brock Jones, Caesar Bjork and Drew Belleson) each have scored a game winning goal. Belleson has a team best +6. Joe Stauber has the most penalty minutes with 33.

Rebels’ goaltenders have a combined 3.74 goals against average and .886 save percentage with no shutouts.

Next weekend the Rebels will be on the road to take on the expansion Elmira Aviators.
