The Rebels and New Jersey Titans will face each other for the first time this season during a home-and-home series with Friday’s game slated to start at 7:30PM at the Hollydell Ice Arena while Saturday’s contest will begin at 7:00PM at the Middletown Sports Complex.
Friday’s game will be Military Appreciation Night in which the Rebels will be wearing special jerseys that will be auctioned off online via Dash with proceeds going to Pitman VFW Post 6469, Washington Twp., VFW Post 6332, and Washington Twp., American Legion Post 521.
Titans vs. Rebels Overview
Last year the Rebels defeated the Titans six out of the eight games played by a combined score of 24 to 15. One of the Rebels’ wins was via a shootout and two were by shutout. The Rebels won all four games on the road.
Titans Overview
New Jersey is currently in sixth place in the East Division with a 12-10-0-0 record for 24 points. The Titans have won three in a row and are 7 – 3 in their last ten games. Although they had a bye week last weekend, they are coming off a two-game road sweep over the first place Maryland Black Bears. They have scored 80 goals (6th in the league), and they have allowed 69 (17th in the league).
Veteran forward Dominik Bartecko leads the Titans with 23 total points (6 goals and 17 assists). Speedy forward Ethan Wongus has the most goals on the team with 17. Johnny McMahon has the most game winning goals with two. Wongus also has a team +10. Ryan Novo leads the team in penalty minutes with 62.
Titans’ goalies Dylan Krick and Zak Brice have a combined 3.00 goals against average and a .893 save percentage with no shutouts.
Rebels Overview
The Rebels are in eighth place in the East Division with an 8-11-0 record for sixteen points. They won their last game by the score of 7 – 4 over the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks and are 4 – 6 in their last ten games. They are coming off a two-game road series split against the Tricks. Philadelphia has scored 62 goals (20th in the league), and they have allowed 69 (18th in the league).
Charles Panchisin leads the team with fourteen total points (3 goals and 11 assists) while Otto Polakovs’ nine goals lead the team in goals scored. Sonny DiNubile and Kris Samitis each have a team best +12. Greg Spitznagel has the most penalty minutes with 74.
The Rebels netminders Jack Fialkoff and Lukas Fursten have a combined 3.40 goals against average and .902 save percentage with one shutout (Fursten).
