Weekend Preview: 2/21 & 2/22 – Rebels visit Northeast for two-game series

The Rebels will travel to Canton, MA for a two-game series against the Northeast Generals at the Canton Ice Arena. Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22 games both start at 7:00PM. This is a very important series for the Rebels. Should they sweep they it they will find themselves just outside of the sixth and final playoff spot.

Generals vs. Rebels Overview
This will be the third and final meeting between the teams with Northeast winning three of the past four games outscoring the Rebels 18 – 14. Each team has an overtime win. The last time they played was back on December 12 and 13 in Canton with the Generals winning both games by a combined score of 7 – 3.

The Generals are 5 for 12 (42%) on the man advantage. Rich Rucireto (4 goals and 2 assists) and Jake Gutwirth (2 goals and 4 assists) each have six total points against the Rebels while Rucireto has the most goals against them (four). They have converted on 14.02% of the chances on the man advantage (31st in the league), and their penalty kill is at 81.19% (25th in the league).
