Weekend Preview: 3/28 & 3/29 – Rebels and Hat Tricks battle it out in first of two consecutive home-and-home series with playoffs on the line

Mar 27, 2025

The Rebels will play their first of two consecutive home-and-home series against the Danbury Hat Tricks in the penultimate weekend of the 2024-25 season. Friday’s game will be held at the Hollydell Ice Arena at 7:00PM while Saturday’s contest will be played at the Danbury Ice Arena at 3:00PM.

The Playoffs are online the line for both teams, although the Rebels have a statistically better chance between the two. The Rebels are currently the seventh seed with 51 points, two points behind the New Hampshire Mountain Kings. Danbury is six points behind the Rebels, and the Hat Tricks would need to win the next four games to put them into a position for the last spot and hope the Mountain Kings lose their next four games.

New Hampshire plays the Northeast Generals for a pair of games this weekend, and they then will close out the season against the Maine Nordiques – who, have clinched a playoff spot – yet have not clinched the third spot. Maine is four points ahead of fourth place New Jersey who plays at Maryland this weekend and then they are home next weekend against the Rochester Jr. Americans.

Lots of moving Jello as the season is coming to an end.
