Home and Home against New Jersey to End the Year

The Rebels will play the New Jersey Titans in a home and home to end their inaugural season. With one win, the Rebels will clinch the Eastern Division championship. The last time these two teams met – the Rebels blanked the Titans 3-0, with goals from Dean Balsamo, Jensen Zerban, and Drew Blackmun. The Titans will have to be well aware of anytime Ryan Cusin steps foot on the ice this weekend, as Cusin put up a monster game last Saturday against Johnstown. Cusin netted a hat trick and one assist against the Tomahawks, and he will surely be looking to cap off his season on a high note this weekend.

How the Titans Stack Up

New Jersey is 2 points behind the Rebels in the standings, so with a sweep this weekend they could still win the Eastern Division championship. They are currently riding a three game losing streak and will be looking to come out strong this weekend as they head towards the playoffs. Raymond Brice remains one of the bright spots on the Titans as of late, and he and his team-leading 19 goals will try to pick the Titans back up against the Rebels. The Rebels will have to shut him down if they wish to keep the Titans slumping.

Heading Towards the Playoffs

The Rebels are looking to stay hot as they head towards the playoffs at the end of their inaugural season. It has been a wild ride this year and the team is looking forward to a deep playoff run. Ryan Cusin (14 g 45 a) and Michael Merulla’s (24 g 30 a) outstanding play will unquestionably be a forced to reckon with come playoff time. The boys are ready to go, and they aren’t ready to go home any time soon.
